MarkG3
Hi everyone, I have a GB Shuttle 9 and a mac and I would like to record just some simple stuff on garage band. What do I need to get this to work, do I just get an xlr lead and plug it in somehow to the mac? I also have an Icicle which is a mini microphone preamp that has xlr to mini USB capability The mac only has USB and a headphones socket, do I need to get some sort of mini mixer or is there any other way? Or could I just use the icicle? Thanks!

MarkG3
Thanks, I'll have a look through this, is there any other ways of doing this really cheaply that anyone could also suggest?
Rimskidog
look for a cheap audio interface and microphone on ebay. The onboard soundcard isnt really up to recording.
MarkG3
Thanks, what about getting like a behringer USB mixer I think it has up to 5 tracks. So I could DI straight from the amp and also recor some guitar? I'm not looking for it to sound amazing just something so I can have a drum beat and for me to record bass and possibly guitar to. Also what about GarageBand on my phone? I've got irig could I DI from the amp into the irig then into GarageBand?
