ash Posted September 9, 2012 Share Posted September 9, 2012 It's a Watkins or Wilson Sapphire. I'm going to have a bid as I did own one years ago and it had a nice neck. These were well made instruments but the pickups were comparatively weak compared to US basses. A shortcoming common to several UK guitar manufacturers in the 60s and 70s. Action looks like you'll need to get a bus to the fretboard, so probably not suitable for a beginner.
