garbev
Hi All, Could anyone recommend a good(and cheap) rewind service please. The Tesla bridge pickup in my Jazz has died, without any problems in the past. It's reading open on a meter and the tech who checked it told me there must be a break in the coil. It's a great sounding p/up but obviously I don't want to spend as much as a replacement would cost, around £45 from Ebay. Cheers, Gary. BILL POSTERS
Never had a Tesla apart but. Coils that are not carrying current usually break at one end or the other. So might it be worth dismantling it to see if you can unwind a bit and re connect it ?
garbev
Thanks for all the help. Cheers Mr Foxen, I'll get hold of Eltham, Bridgend is only down the road from me. Ta, Gary.
gelfin
May be a bit late on this but if you are near Bridgend then you may also be near this guy in Cardiff. http://www.shedpickups.com/ He seems to be able to make / wind any pick up you want.
Monckyman
Andy at Wizard quoted £40 for rewinding a thumper that I stuck a screwdriver into. (I know..)
