sulkyjimbass Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Selling my fretless 1971 Fender Jazz. As you can see the neck was replaced sometime in the early 80's by WAL (note the little whale logo) and has in inaid fretboard with the initials "MW" (this change was done for Mike Wedgewood, who at the the time was a session player with performers such as Elton John and Kiki Dee). He also had EMG pickups put in at the same time. I had it given the treatment (checking all electrics, adjusting intonation etc) by Bernie Goodfellow of GB guitars a few years ago, so I can vouch for its recent work having been carried out by a true master. I have had it for the last 15 years or so, but just plain old don't use it anymore. Also, frankly, I need some cash for a bigger car for arrival of new baby imminently ! I really dont want to end up giving this amazing bass away for virtually free, so even if you dont want it, any advice anyone can offer me would be greatly appreciated. I am a hoarder, not a seller, so dont really know the protocols for this kind of thing! I want £1,800 and am in the Reading area [attachment=118003:DSC03524.JPG][attachment=118005:DSC03525.JPG][attachment=118006:DSC03527.JPG][attachment=118008:DSC03528.JPG][attachment=118009:DSC03529.JPG][attachment=118010:DSC03530.JPG][attachment=118012:DSC03531.JPG][attachment=118002:DSC03523.JPG]!
