matt-bass-sparkes
Hi, I have a Ricky copy (made by Aria in 1976). I bought it off ebay about a year ago, and someone had previously modded it with a phase-switch and various other switches. I have just removed them, and I realised that the bridge pickup has two wires coming out of it, both of these wires contain a red, blue, and a naked wire within them. I tried soldering the ends of the wires and re-wiring like a standard J-pickup...but alas it's not working. Could someone give me some tips on how to wire this pickup in a standard "volume-tone-jack" configuration?? The pots are standard with 3 terminals. A photo is here: http://i1221.photobu...rkes/photo1.jpg I hope that made sense. Thanks! BOD2
This is an example wiring diagram for that type of pickup http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wiring-diagrams/schematics.php?schematic=rickenbucker The wire colours don't match up, of course, but maybe you could try something based on that ?
