Hi,

So I'm new to the bass (I'm a drummer by trade) and I'm looking for a website, not just youtube, that has lessons and info for the a total beginner. I've done some searching online but as with most things its cme up with a lot of stuff most of which looks like crap.

If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated

Welcome to the low end ! B)

One of the best all round bass sites out there IMO is www.studybass.com A browse through the "Technique" and "General Instruction" forums on http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f45/ be time well spent too.

As a total beginner to the bass, it would be a good idea to check out good technique first. Apart from allowing you to play at your full potential, good technique will hep prevent hand/wrist /finger injuries later. Below are some links to get you started.

Best of luck with it.
