Well i just went into my local soundcontrol (edinburgh) and their bass selection is actually better at the mo than normally! Nice VM Squire Jazz, 2 stingrays, 2 warwicks (even a second hand one) and some strange thing which had the same thing on the headstock as a trace T bass (but i forget what it was.
oh and a 80's svt 3
A Lodestone?

I thought these were the thing of legends, I've been waiting since last year for them to make an appearance in stores.

if you get a chance, go play one, I've not come across one yet. They are an Ashdown company, and seem to have an RRP of a American Standard, which if they're built nicely and the wierd headstock isn't an issue, they're better specced.

i looked at it, it was white and looked like it should be quite nice but looked cheap and plastky if you know what i mean.
I would rather buy the reissue of the T bass, or find a nice old one :)

and there's a story connecting both so I've heard. :) But back OT

Given that they've got identical headstock designs, which I suspect are patented by Status, go figure.

Then again, a new status T-bass is probably double the cost.

how did the t bass manage to make that headstock design look amazing and here it just looks so wrong?
the shape of the whole thing doesnt work visually. Even a bongo is better looking!
