TheGreek Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Saw this (and others) on eBay - unbelievably cheap - makes Sue Riders seem expensive.. yorks5stringer Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 There's a Jazz ( wrongly described as a Precision) in the other items too. Makes you wonder how much they know about what they sell...? Quote
apa Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Cant make out the headstock name! Probably really cheap Chinese nonsence to start with. Still a bargain though when 'missing a string' is classed as a default Looking at some of them they are missing a trick, some people pay alot of money for scratches and chips. I think the technical term is 'Reliced' I actually like the green burst and grey/black Jazzes. A Quote

bagsieblue Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Headstock looks to say 'Benson' to me. They are on Amazon for £100....... I've not across these before, I suspect it's a rebrand of budget / entry level already available? Quote

chaypup Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 It was the Jazz 'Precision' that I zoomed in on and it appeared to say Vintage on the headstock. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Brand-new-Precision-BASS-GUITAR-Green-Sunburst-B-STOCK-NO-RESERVE-1-LOT-25-/190726201787?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item2c682ae1bb#ht_3270wt_993 Quote

alyctes Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 so... how do Bensons compare with, say, Sue Ryders? Quote
mushers Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 (edited) what these B stock instruments require is a full set up and zero fret sand blasting and relisting for a lot more ! do you think the master setter upperer has seen these yet ? could keep him busy for decades yup i bid on one ! wasnt going to risk bidding on 2 if i won both i might end up with a full set of strings and there be no fun in that Edited September 21, 2012 by mushers Quote
