Lonnie Plaxico's Melange album is probably my favourite album of the genre. This one, Windy City, is quite slap bass, but has superb energy, especially during the solos. What I love about LP's bass playing is that it is soo deep and tight with the rhythm section.
I was going to trawl the thread to make sure it hadn't been posted already, but with only three views on You Tube, I didn't bother
