I'm not going to post clips, because I'll be here all night,but........

I'm a big fan of Dave Weckl...after I saw him with Mike Stern,I can honestly say that he is possibly the
best drummer I've heard.
Of course I dig Steve Gadd too. But then there are guys like Jeff Hamilton,Gregg Bissonette,Jojo Mayer,
Tommy Igoe,Vinnie Colaiute (of course),Billy Cobham,Akira Jimbo,Stanton Moore...I could go on and on.

I also still love listening to guys like Buddy Rich,Gene Krupa,Joe Morello,Louis Bellson and 'Philly' Joe Jones.

Clive from Groove Armada?

I used to play in a band with him. What a great drummer.

Small word, Chris, me too. Amazing groove player and great all round.. hi-hat work was so funky he used to stop people in their tracks during sound-checks

I love the Vinnie one! I've seen all of the BP ones, there's one with a reggae feel which is wicked! I'll find it and post it.

I knew Cobus would end up on here somewhere, he is a damn fine drummer, and his kit's not exactly too bad either. This guys one of my personal favourites, and probably has one of the best sounding kits on youtube IMO, not to mention that i absolutely love the song.

Marco Minniemann is more or less my favourite ever drummer, so tight but so groovy and loose at the same time.

Dennis Chambers is another drummer I love, his accenting is is unmatched and fits melodies and bass parts so well.

Brann Dailor and Ray Luzier as well are worth a mention!

Brann really can control the feel of a song no matter what is around him and his usage of the whole kit with great taste is very pleasing to hear, even more so in full band context

Paul Motian is (was :() my number one and a lot of my favourites are Motian influenced; Bill Stewart, Billy Higgins, Joey Baron, Adam Nussbaum etc. Loved Erskine (the motion poet) with Marc Johnson's Bass Desires and the John Abercrombie Trio but not heard anything by him recently. Lately I am interested in Antonio Sanchez and we can't forget Jeff 'Tain' Watts. Drummers get a bad rap sometimes but, for me, the whole thing hinges on them.
