Ok so i got this body really cheap and got a neck off a fellow BC`er and lets just say the 2 dont fit as good as they should, what do you do? Eat a magnum ice cream and utilise the stick!

im going to spray this one as its ply so im just wondering do i just need to remove all of the previous paint or can i get away with just flatting the existing paint and spraying over the top, ill be using car spray paint and the appropriate lacquer, heres a few starter pics of the body

i was also toying with the idea of a MM pickup and plate but ive decided on the p/bass set up

Is there a gap along the sides of the neck pocket?
If so, I have some veneer sheet, I can send you some to glue in there to close up the gap
Why are you refinishing it?
It looks fine to me, try a tort pick guard in it and it will look great....IMO!

there was a huge gap but glueing in the lolly stick has sorted it, the neck is now a very snug fit!, as for refinishing it, its a bit battered ive got a white p/guard in the post so ill see how it looks

this wasnt so much a build as a `lets stick some bits together and see what happens` idea. here it is my £50 p/bass

neck pocket is as snug as a bug in a rug now, magnum ice creams do have their uses!
