skidder652003 Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Gotta say i really like it, and thats from a bloke who lives in Teignmouth and doesn't like Muse, or at least the over bombastic stuff, this is pretty commercial but to me thats's not a bad thing, and i want one of those manson guitars! gapiro Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 I like it. And the use of the chaos (i guess) pad is true to bellamy. very good Quote
Themrperson Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 I love Muse and when I first heard it I didn't like (mainly due to Chris playing a synth guitar and not bass like a boss) but when I heard it again from start to finish I loved it and I can't wait for the new album! Quote
shizznit Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Downloaded it this morning and listened to it in the car briefly coming back from church, so haven't really given it a proper listen yet. That said, I really liked what I heard. Not as heavy as previous albums, but the production is once again spot on. Looking forward to burying my head into over the next couple of weeks. Quote
ead Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 It's OK I guess, reminds me a bit too much of I Want to Break Free and other Queen stuff in places, and thus I found it a bit derivative. Quote
Low End Bee Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Have they covered Night Boat To Cairo? That would be cool. Quote
Dave Vader Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 I heard it and wanted to break free..... Quote
charic Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 For some reason it reminded me of some kind of magic rather than want to break free. Quote
Dave Vader Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Nope you can have that. I've always said they sounded like Queen, shame they have now reached the point where Queen became unlistenable bollocks... IMHO etc. etc. Quote

Stan_da_man Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 I know bands/artists need to progress/develop their sound has time passes to keep record sales coming in but - I won't be buying their new album. The Resistance had about 3 good songs and the rest of the album was w***. I've been a fan since the Showbiz days... Quote
woodyratm Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 I wouldn't write off the album on those two tunes. I've heard the album It's decent (IMO) I think I'm in love with Save Me. Chris Wolstenholme wrote and sings it. Its lovely Overall the albums decent! Was abit worried after Madness and what not. It's more happy and more 80s I think. It's no OOS but i'm left happy. Quote
woodyratm Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Also Liquid States also ace - totally QotSA Quote
Bassulike66 Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 IMHO the drum sound / beat reminds me of NIN - Closer, the vocal melody has touches of George Michael's - Faith and the guitar sound is that of Brian granny hair May. Quote
