Muse - Madness, first impressions?

Gotta say i really like it, and thats from a bloke who lives in Teignmouth and doesn't like Muse, or at least the over bombastic stuff, this is pretty commercial but to me thats's not a bad thing, and i want one of those manson guitars!

I love Muse and when I first heard it I didn't like (mainly due to Chris playing a synth guitar and not bass like a boss) but when I heard it again from start to finish I loved it and I can't wait for the new album!

Downloaded it this morning and listened to it in the car briefly coming back from church, so haven't really given it a proper listen yet. That said, I really liked what I heard. Not as heavy as previous albums, but the production is once again spot on. Looking forward to burying my head into over the next couple of weeks.

It's OK I guess, reminds me a bit too much of I Want to Break Free and other Queen stuff in places, and thus I found it a bit derivative.

I know bands/artists need to progress/develop their sound has time passes to keep record sales coming in but - I won't be buying their new album. The Resistance had about 3 good songs and the rest of the album was w***. I've been a fan since the Showbiz days...

I wouldn't write off the album on those two tunes. I've heard the album It's decent (IMO)

I think I'm in love with Save Me. Chris Wolstenholme wrote and sings it.
Its lovely

Overall the albums decent! Was abit worried after Madness and what not.

It's more happy and more 80s I think. It's no OOS but i'm left happy.

IMHO the drum sound / beat reminds me of NIN - Closer, the vocal melody has touches of George Michael's - Faith and the guitar sound is that of Brian granny hair May.
