Very difficult decision and had to keep reminding myself that it's about the song and not about the recording quality or mixing expertise etc (IMO).

Going to re-listen to them all tonight. It's great how everyone was inspired by the photo in different ways - and interesting how so many folks ended up producing something downbeat and melancholic... a symptom of us being moody bass players, perhaps?! :P

Anyway, good luck to one and all in the voting! We're all winners; group hug, etc, etc. Does it help to have a heart-wrenching back story as with the X-Factor? If so I'll post some photos of me in my youth, wearing some truly traumatic home-knitted jumpers. That should do the trick.

That was a very difficult decision, but after much coin tossing I have voted for someone who isn't me.

By the way, the cut on my finger has opened up again, and there is more blood (cue heart wrenching music, maybe some cock-awful bit of coldplay, and slow motion scenes of me and my family crying, as my "journey" continues).

My vote has been cast. I must say, there's a downright excellent collection of songs there. It's insane how so many people can get so many different messages and emotions from just one image. Can't wait for next months competition.

I've done a bad thing - first of all I'm Tacsi and secondly, I cheated :unsure:
My band is called Tacsi and I linked to a song we wrote last year, it wasn't written this month.
I didn't read the OP properly, (I was very drunk at the time) and the picture made me think of this song so I made the link and promptly forgot all about it - until now.

Anyway thanks to whoever voted for the song, but you should transfer your vote and I should be scorned as unworthy :ph34r:.

Thanks for that - Cue sheets to be detailed in October, so will know more then about broadcast times etc.
