LukeFRC Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 this is the bass of my dreams. If someone had been interested in my JV squier it would be mine... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221127874771?_trksid=p5197.c0.m619 does someone else want it... lovely looking JD thumb bass? Otherwise... if anyone wants to buy a JV squier off me (£1200 ono) or even a Bass Pod (£80ono) or a Yamaha MIJ BB300 (£120) even my yamaha SG (£450) or line6 guitar (£50) and help a wee chancer pick this fella up.... Shawman Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 it's pure ugly (blatant lie but hope it makes you feel better) Quote
Schnozzalee Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 (edited) Well you should be reassured that you have a Stage 1 for your modern tones and a Precision for your vintage sound . I like thumbs (electronically) but I hear they're uncomfortable to play in comparision with a Streamer - apparently feel like making your way round a 35" scale. juliusmonk Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 Thumbs are nice, but I could never get on with the back of the neck texture... Feels rough and somewhat unfinished. It would have to be lacquered (a la Prince's 'eye' bass) for me to consider it. Quote
