Well you should be reassured that you have a Stage 1 for your modern tones and a Precision for your vintage sound . I like thumbs (electronically) but I hear they're uncomfortable to play in comparision with a Streamer - apparently feel like making your way round a 35" scale.

Thumbs are nice, but I could never get on with the back of the neck texture... Feels rough and somewhat unfinished. It would have to be lacquered (a la Prince's 'eye' bass) for me to consider it.
