Silvia Bluejay
This was on Facebook just yesterday, "Can I just throw this out there.. If you wanna go into the main stage to see the live performances you will need a ticket. NOT the ticket you used to get into the show, a different ticket, but don't worry, they're free. It's just that we can't let everyone in the auditorium so have it ticketed. Get them from the main Bass Guitar magazine stand near the entrance. This also means exhibitors too! Sorry to be a ball-buster but you have no idea how many people we can't let into the performances every year cos of this so at least if you all know and can pass the message on! thanks! See you next weeeekeeend!"
Yup, just got confirmation of this from Twitter:
Basschat.co.uk [s]@[/s]basschatuk [s]@[/s]bassguitarshow [s]@[/s]UKGuitarShows [s]@[/s]BassGuitarMag Will there be tickets for the live performances, or can we just walk in? MoJoKe
Bear in mind that some tube lines are closed next weekend. I cant rememember which ones, although someone did post a link here somewhere.
Looks like the Picadilly line is clear of closures so the "Hounslow West" option is a good one for people coming from the South West as its a single change at Earls Court. I'm getting the train up very early on Saturday, so hoping the closures don't effect the anticlockwise Circle line between Paddington and High Street Kensington!

Silvia Bluejay
Remember that it's the District line to Olympia that you need. The entrance to the show is on the Hammersmith Road, anyway. DogHammer
Just bought a couple of weekend tickets for myself and my bands guitarist (He is a bassist first, guitarist second ) So will be there for the full duration. Also knowing myself.... I think I will be buying a few goodies..... Also a question for fellow lefties, whats the tryouts like for us? as in do most stands have left handed versions, or is it pretty much few and far between?
Prepare yourself to try a lot of basses upside down. Last year I saw 4 or 5 lefty models on show, though, which was an improvement on the grand total of one (Höfner Paul McCartney model) I saw in 2011. I don't think you can get a real feel of a bass by playing upside down personally. Well here's me hoping to see a couple more this year. Would be interested in meeting up for a beer or 20 with any basschatters if theres a meet.

I'm going to publish a BC corner meetup schedule for the weekend some time soon. I'm only waiting to make sure the show's schedule doesn't get amended again at the last moment, as I'm creating our schedule around a couple of masterclasses and performances I don't want to miss

As long as I get to see Andy Irvine then I'm happy. And hoping that the Warwick stand is extensive. Still haven't tried a Streamer in left handed, wanted to hear and feel the difference to my Corvette, as was in 2 minds when I bought it! It's Warwick Distribution, rather than Warwick&Framus, this year, so it might be little in comparison. I remember their stand at the London International Music Show, as I think it was called back in 2010 - it was massive, with lots of basses, guitars, cabs and amps. GAS, GAS, GAS!! But then the company gave London a miss in 2011 and 2012, and may have decided to come back this year in a more modest guise. We'll see. jamie_k11
This weekend can't wait any longer!!
