How Would You Plug This Lot Together

So, I am thinking about buying a bass rig. Questions of quality, budget, bangs for bucks aside, I am getting confused about the best way to connect a head and two cabs together......parallel, series, ohms, watts etc etc.

Have read the various sticky topics on the subject, but taking this (link below) as an example, how would you plug it all together? Would you go head to cab to cab or head to cab and head to cab......if you follow???

Thanks for any info supplied

Cheers

Jon

You can run a lead from the amp to the first speaker and then a 'link' lead from the first to the second speaker. Each speaker is rated at 8 Ohms and using a link cable would connect both speakers in parallel, giving a 4 Ohm load to the amp. The amp will achieve it's full output at 4 Ohms.

The speakers will take either jack or speakon and the amp has a speakon out. Thus you can use speakon to jack or speakon to speakon, whichever takes your fancy.

If you can use both the speakon out and the jack out from the amp (you probably can, but check the manual), then these are also in parallel and would give the same 4 Ohm load using the same speakers.

Either way, you'll end up with the same load :)
