[email protected] Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 I play covers of the likes of Priest, Maiden, Saxon, Sabbth, Ozzy etcetera etc. what us the go to effect I must have ? Quote
chrismuzz Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 I'd say a mostly clean tone, maybe with some mild overdrive. Geezer Butler uses a bit of fuzz and wah on occasion too! Quote
paul_5 Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 There's a DHA VT1 for sale on here that would does a lovely line in genuine valve overdrive - might be worth a look. http://basschat.co.uk/topic/186367-dha-vt-1-pedal/ Quote
Truckstop Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 I think a touch of flange or chorus? Don't forget to use a precision too! Truckstop Quote
winterfire666 Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Just a bit of drive and a chorus does it for me. And maybe a subtle phaser on gentler sections Quote
dudewheresmybass Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 I'm doing pretty much the same in one of my bands. I use Dod fx91 for an always on light valvey drive B3k for more drive Mxr bfd for thick fuzzy stuff Ibanez weeping demon for wah Mxr black label chorus for .... Chorus And just for fun- a carbon copy for big endings Quote

bertbass Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 That's when I did my heavy thing, all originals though. No effects at all just a valve head(s) and 4x12s. Quote
