Lord Sausage Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 A friend of mine has a 1970's Marshall Head (Gtr). You can adjust the ohms on the back. i.e 4, 8, 16. He has a 16 ohm cab. Would the best performance come from matching the head to the cab and have both at 16 ohms? Quote
chris_b Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Matching the amp and cab is the only way you can run a valve amp. Any other setting will risk damaging the amp. Quote
