jaydentaku
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/URAL-510L-rare-vintage-Legendary-Soviet-bass-from-USSR-with-neck-strap-gigbag-/251158702914?pt=Guitar&hash=item3a7a39ab42#ht_2941wt_1081 I didn't know anything about these until I found this. What a lovely headstock. I am guessing its rough as a badgers though. Or am I wrong?

jaydentaku
I thought you might. The pickups look very much like Dearmonds.
risingson
I like this as well, mental 'behind the iron curtain' sustain and clank!
jaydentaku
I like the 5din connector. I can't help but feel that they use that because its the same as the ones they used on the tank they made in the same factory. Speculation of course. TomRichards
They are cool looking basses, but are total crap construction-wise. This one on evilBay is maybe the best I have ever seen. I have to admit, the plate on the back that says "cccp" for me is worth the purchase. I had one in the 1990s. Body was sort of plywood. Neck was a ski jump. The pickups are weak. Very weak. Converting the pin is easy, but then you lose some of its kitsch. If you have the cash it really is a neat piece of Cold War history. Hmmmmmm, maybe I will have to buy it. Low End Bee
I like the look. If it still had the sidecar I'd be bidding.
Stacker
5-pin DIN for playing through an old record player, I'll bet. I am sure I heard of people doing with guitars when I was a kid!
