bw_user_name Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 I've seen a sadowsky jazz for sale for £900 but not sure if its a good price or not. its a made in japan one and is active. the serial number is M then 4 numbers. should I buy it ? its sounds great and feels lovely .. Quote
JTUK Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Without seeing and hearing it.....but you have...I'd say that was a very keen price. I'd be concerned it was fake, tbh. Quote
bw_user_name Posted September 30, 2012 Author Posted September 30, 2012 I dont think its a fake because it oozes quality .. its got a sadowsky case aswel, Quote
warwickhunt Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 £900 is a steal! I'm about to put mine up for sale and I'd not take a penny less than £1250. Quote
Dingus Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 If you've played it and you like it , and you have no reason to believe that it's not genuine or that there is anything structurally wrong with the bass , then £900 for a Japanese -made Sadowsky is an absolute bargain. Quote
bw_user_name Posted September 30, 2012 Author Posted September 30, 2012 Thanks Dingus, just thought I'd run it past the bass chatters before pulling the trigger .. Quote
bw_user_name Posted September 30, 2012 Author Posted September 30, 2012 is yours a japanese one warwick ? Quote

I've had USA Sadowsky basses before and 'personally' don't think that there is justification in paying almost double for a USA over a Jap Metro. Quote
bw_user_name Posted September 30, 2012 Author Posted September 30, 2012 Oooo, that's lovely ... £900 did you say ? I'll come an pick it up aswel, Quote
molan Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 I have seen Metros drop below £1,000 but not very often. If condition isn't perfect and/or there are any issues with electrics then it's still a good price but not a 'crazy' bargain. If it's in good condition, plays well and everything is as it should be then £900 is definitely a good price. Quote

jonnybass Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Is it in a shop or private sale? I have seen one in a shop in Edinburgh for round about £1,000 (spent a couple of days trying to think how I could raise the cash) it was a Sadowsky Metro series by the look of it, natural with a maple fingerboard if I remember rightly..
