I've been told that it is unusual in as much as it has a one piece body (they are generally centre-joined 2 piece) and the colour matched headstock was a customer option. This has been owned by me twice and a couple of other BCers and all have had good things to say... odd that we have sold it but there you go! I'm not prepared to haggle on the price (despite there being cheaper Sterlings for sale on Basschat) as this is a cracker and despite downsizing house in the near future, I'd happily hold onto this and flog one of my others! Just been set-up and strung with a fresh set of D'Addario Nickels. Edited October 6, 2013 by warwickhunt
chuck_stones Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Wow...I want...but I've got nothing but trade bait. Sorry bud, best of luck moving it on!
lee650 Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 (edited) I would dearly love this bass back, I only moved it on as a part of a trade for a ken smith, which I eventually had to sell, I notice the nice pearl plate I got for it has been jettisoned, a fantastic bass and very striking in the flesh, great punchy musician sound and a great neck, I was extremely fond if this bass, still trying to pass my driving test (very exoensive)and a new baby girl on the way, so will not have the cash for this in a while, I will keep my eye out for her though. warwickhunt Posted October 13, 2012 Author Posted October 13, 2012 DOH! That was an old pic of the bass on Photobucket. Your pickguard is still on Rita.
warwickhunt Posted November 9, 2012 Author Posted November 9, 2012 £825 before I advertise my other Sterling and keep this one.
Schwartz Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 Such a lovely looking instrument, I prefer that headstock, to my own... regrets. Good luck with the sale.
tom1946 Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 Phew just had a crisis, I would have it like a shot if my Jazz sells. Anyone?
wrinkleygit Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 Noooooh , not the lovely Rita, one of the best sounding basses I have ever owned, only the change to fives prompted the sale of the fabled bass chat bike, have fond memories of her & whoever takes her on will not be disappointed, mike b.
GreeneKing Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 (edited) Does it still have the the Nordstrand I put in it? Great bass made even better by that pup. One of the very best basses I've owned. If I didn't already have too may basses AND I'd have spotted this earlier AND I had the money I'd have jumped at it. Edited November 16, 2012 by GreeneKing

flippyfloop Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 I'm not a big MM fan but this is sexy
warwickhunt Posted September 29, 2013 Author Posted September 29, 2013
I'm not a big MM fan but this is sexy
...and better in the flesh!
Ashborygirl Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 Quick question, if I may be so bold. The advert prices it at £875, later dropped to £825, but your signature says £800?
warwickhunt Posted October 1, 2013 Author Posted October 1, 2013 Hmmm good point; I actually have a 2nd Sterling and I had the other Sterling up for sale before deciding to sell this one. However... I'd sell this one for the same price as the other, so effectively this is now £800!
