Westie9
TU3 - way better than the TU2 for sensitivity. Nice clear LED's for dark stage use too....
chrismuzz
I used to use the Korg Pitchblack and it was great! Sold it when I got the Zoom B3 though as the tuner on that is still more than good enough, and the display is nice and visible
bottomfeed
I've used Korg GT-3's for many years now... really a very good tuner but needs to be on a tuner out loop from head (doubtful if it's true bypass) Recently I needed one on my board, so I bought a pitchblack... very impressed with it, accurate, easy to see.... top marks! bigjohn
Pitchblack for me! Like Knightrider.
tonyquipment
I've got both polytune and TU3 Both great tuners..love them both so I would choose either. Both built like tanks and accurate. Both track very well and I can safely say I won't need to ever buy a tuner now!
alstocko
I have an Artec Big Dots tuner. Great pedal, by far the most visible in darkness on a stage (especially when I don't wear my glasses!) Can be a bit temperamental with the low B though. Apart from that, stunning pedal! Only cost me £15 here on BC!
Bobby K
Another Korg Pitchblack user here. No problems, buy with confidence ;-)
paul torch
my hair used to be limp and lifeless until I discovered Korg Pitchblack
Fender_Greg
Korg Pitchblack. Cheaper than the others but just as good!
perrybassbp
boss tu2 or 3 would be a great choice, such a good little tuner!
spellonyou
I tried a cheap Behringer unit first but had to send it back because it would not even reliably track the E string. Got a PitchBlack instead and have been very happy with it except for one thing; it was causing my compressor to go nuts when it was in front of it in the signal chain. Putting the tuner all the way at the end of the chain solved that problem though.

Mine's in front of my compressor and it's been ok
Guest bassman7755
Well I can definitely say do NOT get one these .. http://www.zzounds.com/item--SBNSTX1100 Appealing form factor but seems to have a strangely large in-tune window i.e I can audibly sharpen or flatten a note by a few cents and claims is still perfectly in tune so you end up having to judge the middle of the in tune range. JMM
Just thought I'd update this. I originally ordered a Polytune Mini Noir, but after speaking to TC, they mentioned that they've dropped the polytune feature for basses on the Mini (it still has the polytune feature for guitars). I then changed my order to a standard Polytune and have been really pleased with it. It's got quite a few different display modes and has been very easy to see. nicklathambass
I've had a Boss TU3 for ages and it's never once annoyed me...
Jack
Pitchblack! Although if I had to buy one today I'd be tempted by that copy of the Pitchblack.......
Bolo
I just ordered the Ashdown BassOmeter because I had room for a big ugly pedal on my board. Will update with my findings later this week.
