charic
about the gigrig system - why would you need a distributor, rather than just a daisy chain?
Just seemed to make sense for expandability. I'm a bit anal about this type of stuff, probably because I design and work with production systems I'm slightly obsessed with futureproofing. Also at £148 delivered it worked out cheaper than quite a few of the other systems. Plus it's tidy. I like tidy
Si600
I don't think 51m0n was particularly charitable about the compression on your TC Can you post the link to that flightcase thread please? At £40 for the small one I doubt I could make one cheaper...
cheddatom
I love the idea of a 5A supply, but i'd rather use a £5 daisy chain than a load of £40 distributors I'm planning to get myself a new PSU soon so was considering the gigrig but didn't realise how pricey it was
charic
just a tip, i find the 0.15's slightly too short, i have a got a slightly bigger patch cable but im not sure of the size but i definatly want more of them! It means i don't have to rotate any of my pedals on their side or anything daft.
Hmmm thanks, I'm trying to avoid that... what about these then? Not too long so they're untidy but long enough so they don't have to stretch too far.

cheddatom
but to power 24 pedals I'd need 4 wouldn't I? Anyway, sorry, i'll stop de-railing, i'm sure there's a dedicated PSU thread somewhere.

simwells
With the pedalboard case you mentioned you could hide cables underneath, if you really want tidy then go with a solderless set like the George L's or Lavas.

mike257
Looking good mate! Just wondering, is the cable cut out on the back of those cases just a big hole, or is there a panel to cover it? Just got thinking that you could put a plate there with jack sockets and a mains connection and wire it to your first/last pedals - all your connections on the back of the board for a nice easy set up! charic
It's a locking flap the woodwork has started now and a nice vibrant orange is in order I like the idea of input/output ports although I will probably keep the power cable seperate

Jack
Charic, how are you getting on with that mixer case? Is there a cutout at the back? Does the lid come completely off?
xgsjx
Lids usually come off mixer cases. If not you could replace the bolts in the hinges with snap clips. You do realise you could squeeze a couple of Moogerfoogers in there too?
