warwickhunt
I've owned this 20+ years (bought it from the guitarist I was in a band with) and the dust/cobwebs are equally vintage but included in the price. From the serial number I'm lead to believe that this is a 1988 and that sounds about right. The headstock has 'Epiphone by Gibson' and a tree of life style inlay on it, with an 'E' logo on the truss rod cover. The guitar is burst with white binding & 2 skinny black stripes (including the edge of the fingerboard), fingerboard has block pearl inlays that have triangular abalone insets. It still has the stickers on the heel and headstock that show the serial number as being 880 802432. A few marks but nothing serious for a 24 year old guitar. The hardware and pup covers have some pitting but everything works exactly as it should! £
3below
That is very nice and with what appears to be a maple neck will not suffer the 'Honey I snapped the headstock' moment.
Yes the neck is maple (and stronger than LP mahogany... are 335's mahogany?), I also think that the break angle is less steep than on other Gibbo guitars. Certainly no breaks or cracks at all.
