ead Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 I've been watching one on evilbay and wondered if these are as good as the reputation of the 80's production that seem to have good press on here and elsewhere? Quote
BigRedX Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Depends on where it was made. If it's made in Japan then most likely yes. Anywhere else then unfortunately it's probably no better than any other bass made in that country except it will have an over-inflated price due to the name on the headstock. Quote
ead Posted October 2, 2012 Author Posted October 2, 2012 tbh I didn't realise they were still in production. Quote

ead Posted October 2, 2012 Author Posted October 2, 2012 Not bidding seriously just watching for curiosity really. It went for £190 in the end. Quote
Mudpup Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 (edited) Was it that red one? I had a little bid but it got a bit rich for buying something without playing it and i chickened out. Wonder if a basschatter got it? Thinking about picking up a jazz or precision for the stable. Edited October 2, 2012 by Mudpup Quote
Spike Vincent Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Bit late now it's been sold, but I have mid 2000's Korean made Tokai Thunderbird, which is an extremely well made quality instrument that is easily as good as my mid 80's Japanese made Precision. Quote
