Clarky
These cabs are rightly revered for their crystal clear, hi-fi/studio reproduction. I imported this new from the US a few months ago and its only had home use, literally never left my house since I opened up the packaging. In fact I may well have the last ever Low B-2 to be made as Andy at Acme said they are shifting to the new Series III 12" cabs and he had to scrabble around to find the last piece of metal grille material to put my cab together. So why am I selling? Well it weighs 50 pounds and thats just too much for me to consider taking out to gigs (I have a dodgy back, courtesy of slipped disc and rotator cuff injuries a few years ago). Even my Acoustic Image Ten2 combo at 32 pounds is pushing it for me (my original plan was to use the removable AI head and pair it with the much louder Low B-2 cab). Moolah type stuff: I paid $609 plus extra for a light cab cover and then shipping and import duty, which took the whole lot to about £550. I am willing to let this go for £400 if collected from me in London (I am near Hammersmith) or I will post but I guess that would be about £25 extra Details are here if you click on the product page for the Low B-2: http://acmebass.com/ Looks just like this: Edited October 3, 2012 by Clarky
Beedster
That's gonna sound awesome. Why do these things come along during gear-reduction phases
Clarky
Thanks Chris. These are amazing quality cabs - I bought this because I previously owned the 8 ohm version and it didn't have quite enough volume. However, reality has bitten and I simply don't fancy carting a 50 pound cab around when there are much lighter ones available (even if not of equivalent sound quality)
Clarky
Actually, thinking this through, I like having a decent sounding cab for my electric bass setup - even its only used at home. Furthermore, I went to a lot of trouble to get hold of this cab (as mentioned, was probably the last ever Low B2 made). Maybe I am being a bit hasty here, not for the first time Mods please delete this
