But he's my old jazzy-pop-funk outfit... 'Hot Like Fire' www.myspace.com/hotlikefireofficial I'm still proud of the basslines.
That is quality. Quote
Roland Rock Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 I had lots of fun with this old band. This one is a homage to the coolest member of the A Team (the chorus "shut up you crazy fool" gives a hint) and this is a bit of a jazz/funk odyssey Quote
Low End Bee Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 From 2008 but it feels like a hundred years and a million miles ago now. This is the only track I can still bear to listen to. It doesn't make me cringe as nuch as the others. It got on a Classic Rock cover CD too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cr1K4-lYUmw Quote
malbass Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 (edited) One of my favourites from my old band, you'll have to forgive the false start! Edited October 4, 2012 by malbass Quote

I used to play a fretless Squier Japan jazz bass in this, my brother's, band. Quote

chrismuzz Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 My old band Scorched Earth! We were heavily influenced by bands like In Flames, At The Gates, and other high speed metal core type bands. The recording isn't the best quality at all... All the instruments and vocals were recorded straight into the desk with no amps, effects or anything... Amazingly though the bass is pretty audible throughout most of it... What you hear is a Peavey Grind with stock pickups, no compression or anything! Wooks79 Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 Band before last, Red Pen Letter. Bit of an indie/prog project, ended up putting as much effort into writing the bits in between songs as we did the actual songs, ended up by the time we jacked it in, our set was one big non stop 40 min prog set http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jzmdNqfRDkg Quote
