charic Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 I'm probably being dumb... again I bought this flightcase: and considered putting steps in so that I don't accidentally knock pedals. [attachment=120131:Pedals_Stepped.png] But I want to make the most of the space I have really so I considered tilting the whole board forward [attachment=120132:PedalsTilted.png] However I infact gain a whole 0.5cm doing this... yay... Then I started wondering what if I layer then pedals a little differently... [attachment=120133:PedalsTiltedBack.png] I havn't done the math on the last method yet but I feel like I must be missing something obvious here.... Quote
JapanAxe Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Won't each shelf cover up the foot switches on the one behind? Quote
charic Posted October 4, 2012 Author Posted October 4, 2012 Footswitches are on the right, controls to the left Back of pedal board [sharedmedia=core:attachments:120133] front of pedal board Quote
simwells Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 The issue with them tilted like that would be pressing the footswitches easily, if you can fit it do the stepped but wth the top as a shelf that covers connections etc. of the pedals underneath that will probably give the most space. Quote
charic Posted October 4, 2012 Author Posted October 4, 2012 I'll do some usability tests of the titling a bit later Quote
charic Posted October 4, 2012 Author Posted October 4, 2012 Hmmm... done some technical calculations (cut out pieces of paper everywhere And it doesn't seem to benefit me much by tilting because of the limited height. Steps seem to be the way forward. I thought I was onto something there Quote
