For £180 it must surely be a copy like the advert suggests may be the case. I'm far from knowledgeable about this so would really appreciate a view; without being gazumped

I'd avoid on the grounds that they've already tried it on; unless others here, there are many Fender experts, can name you a few questions that would nail it for certain. Blademan_98
Looks quite nice. For £180 does it matter if its a Squier or even a lesser clone? It's all about how it plays and sounds
Mykesbass
Precision style with a Jazz pick-up should get the alarm bells ringing.
steve-bbb
you could get a new squier affinity series for that price and a VM for only a wee bit more the grain colouration in the fretboard looks bizarre - would expect the quality control at fender/squier to be a more consistent colour across the wood all you P fanboys out there... anybody else think the body shape looks slightly 'close but not quite there' ? BassBus
There's also something about the shape of the head that doesn't ring true to me.

Toasting
Thanks guys, I knew it was somewhat dubious. I found this other bass on ebay too but I'm such a GAS newbie I think I'll stick to buying through this site. Unless they know it`s a wrong-un, that is.
Spike Vincent
Going by the shape of the headstock I reckon that's an Encore and probably worth about 50p.
