Lord Sausage Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Just listening to Moloko, haven't for a while, and i'm just wondering if there is any love for them on here. Never really seen anyone mention them. They developed from a good little electro duo to an incredible band and unsderated. Saw them live on the statues tour and it was amazing. Here's a couple of tracks Quote
risingson Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 I like them, obviously their output hasn't been that significant for the past 10 or 12 years due to their breaking up, but they had some great tracks. Bring It Back came on the radio the other day, reminded me that not all house music coming out at that time lacked intelligence and good songwriting. Quote
voxpop Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Yep, thumbs up here. Listening to the above CD as I type. Quote
lowdown Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 I thought they were great, they kinda helped move House Music on a bit at that time. Roisin Murphy has quite a few solo tracks out there. Garry Quote

I realise it ain't current and they split up time ago, but it still souns fresh. Quote

Ray Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 I saw them them live at the V Festival a few years ago. Still one of the best live shows I've ever seen. Quote
I think they left a bit more of a lasting impact on music if we're being fair! I always get reminded of Goldfrapp whenever Moloko get mentioned, another act that I really love: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kVPVacTqgWg Quote
Lord Sausage Posted October 7, 2012 Author Posted October 7, 2012 I spent a fair bit of time wasted listening to both in the early noughties. great music for it! Quote

ahpook Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 moloko's 1st album ('do you like my tight sweater') is brilliant i've got 'things to make and do', which is good, but not a patch on the above. Quote
Gareth Hughes Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Absolutely. Much undying love for Moloko. When 'The Time Is Now' went into the charts it did make me realise that the X-Factor's of the world will never suppress good music forever. Quote
Deep Thought Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Much underrated band. 'The Time is now' has a classic bass intro. Quote
edster Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Saw them in Glasgow a few years ago doing a support slot at the SECC. Really liked them. Quote
Prosebass Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Big fan, saw them on the Jazz World Stage at Glastonbury in the 90's , blew me away..... Quote
thisnameistaken Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 I think I've mentioned Mark Bryson on here a few times in the past, I really rate him as a bassist. Quote
