fender pb special or standard

Hi all, need a little help. im looking at purchasing a new american PB but not sure why the standard is around £100 more when apparently the special is upgraded etc etc, can anyone give it to me in plain english

Not sure mate. Check out the Fender website all the specs are listed on there.

Just had a quick look. The only thing I can see on there is the custom shop pickups versus standard ones and the mention of a SKB case.
