StephenFerguson Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 (edited) Erm if this isn't a JV then why can I buy an actual fender geddy lee for less than this bass, and a USA Fender P for less than this bass on this forum? Im not bitching, I love P's is there something about this bass that i am missing? I though the Jap squires prior to 84 were joint ventures. Edited November 5, 2012 by StephenFerguson
pierreganseman Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 Well at that time fender japan had the rep' of making better instrument than fender USA... and they are quite sought after from what I gathered.... I have seen some JV series go for a load of money. So that price seems ok to me. Although I am not a fender man at all... so i could be wrong...
StephenFerguson Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Yeah, except its not a jv.....which means at this point fender Japan was using the fender logo for its top basses and squire for the inferior ones, prior to 84 the jv squires were just the first fender of Japan models, after this point the squires quality was reduced and the j fenders introduced, I could be wrong though.
StephenFerguson Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Edit. He stated above that its not a jv BTW.
pierreganseman Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 I think you would be better off discussing this with the seller via PM man.. :-)
