It looks pretty sick and I love the tone he had, would be very grateful if someone can tell me more about the bass

Looks like a beat-up J to me.... but with all those effects he could be playing pretty much anything and it would sound the same.

I wish the bugger would stand up straight... :rolleyes: :D

Is that not Jaco Pastorius' fabled "Bass of Doom" - a Fender Jazz - which Trujillo helped to restore?

I think Jaco de-fretted the Doom bass himself from a standard Jazz, so it would've retained the fret lines...but I could be wrong!

If I recall I thought he returned the BoD to the Pastorius family. It looks like a proper 60's jazz which has seen some action and has been fitted with EMG's.
