GreeneKing Posted October 14, 2012 Author Posted October 14, 2012 And here's some photos of the TRB5 Mk1. A bit 'wonky' I know AND I'm sober! It has a great action and playability this bass. Controls are 2 EQ with a smiley/frowny EQ rotary switch - very effective. Again a price reduction on consideration, now £450. Comes with a hard case that's fairly tatty. GreeneKing Posted October 14, 2012 Author Posted October 14, 2012 I'd add a Bongo to the trade list also
andybassdoyle Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 Awesomeness in green. Have pm'd you....
MikanHannille Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 My perfect bass... just the wrong time! Good luck with the sale!
therealting Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 So tempted to pick this up to match my TRB6... but that hasn't gotten much action since I got my Dingwall! By the way, I must ask about your beautiful cat! Breed etc?
GreeneKing Posted October 16, 2012 Author Posted October 16, 2012 Arnie is a Bengal. Handsome boy isn't he
GreeneKing Posted October 20, 2012 Author Posted October 20, 2012 Bump for this great bass at an even better price
GreeneKing Posted October 24, 2012 Author Posted October 24, 2012 Another lurgy fuelled bump (cough splutter)
GreeneKing Posted October 28, 2012 Author Posted October 28, 2012 Now Sterling pounds 425 (strange keyboard with no pound sign). Great bass at a cracking price. Peter
martfitz Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 This is a flipping bargain, I've had a Mk1 TRB4 for around 20 years and it's brilliant, seen off a load of other basses that I've owned.
GreeneKing Posted October 28, 2012 Author Posted October 28, 2012 Thank you, someone who recognises how good a deal this is
mattbass6 Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 Wow, what a beauty. I've had several TRB 6'ers over the years and regretted selling every single one of them. I have now moved to 5 string and would love this. If it wasn't for the recent Ibanez GWB35 purchase made on Friday, I would be having this off you. If it's still here, which I doubt very much, in the next couple of months and I can raise the cash, I will be back. Good luck for a lovely bass
silverfoxnik Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012
This is a flipping bargain, I've had a Mk1 TRB4 for around 20 years and it's brilliant, seen off a load of other basses that I've owned.

Thank you, someone who recognises how good a deal this is
Absolutely! The first bass I ever bought on this forum, back in 'Bassworld' days 6 years ago, was from Peter and it was for the same amount as this is for sale now.. It was a Yamaha TRB1005 and though it was a good bass, it's nowhere near as fine a bass as this one is! So this really is a good deal.. And, as has been said many times before, Peter looks after all his gear and is a real gentleman to deal with.. So buy with confidence! GLWTS Peter! Nik
GreeneKing Posted October 30, 2012 Author Posted October 30, 2012 Looking at what the others are going for (even if they aren't in such good condition) and due to some up and coming expenses I'm dropping this to pounds 400 plus P&P. This is a give away believe me Peter
ikay Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 At this price someone should buy themselves an early Christmas present. The Mk1 TRB5 is a quality bass. I've had mine over 12 years and it's still a regular gigging companion. A few years ago I made the mistake of trading it in for something. Went back a couple of days later and got it straight back! Great bass.
mr.noisy Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 This bass used to be mine. One of the best I've ever had. Still miss it, I remember how incredibly low string action was. Amazing instrument.
