I've not seen one as far as I can recall - i'm talking about the eighties ones. Don't know about the new ones.

The only lefty Gibson bass I know about, is a 5 string Thundebird.

As far as I'm aware,Gibson have never officially made left handed basses.I have seen one that was discussed in one of the now defunct guitar mags from the 90's,and their opinion was that it was made in the Gibson factory after hours..

They definately made them in the 60s and 70s, as custom order instruments - i've seen lefty EB0, EB3 and IIRC an EB2/Rivoli.

Warmoth will do a lefty Explorer bass if you really want one, will probably be better than a Gibson would nowadays!

Had a lefty explorer bass back in the late eighties, but it wasn't a Gibbo. Jaydee made it for the bass player in Tobruk (remember them?), and the guitarist had a matching six string. I got it second hand, and sold it a few years later.

I didn't think they did either, I could have imagined a few EB's maybe but any other model . . . . None the wiser.

Don't think a lefty would look right, IMHO.
