gillento Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 (edited) Selling this for a busy friend: The bass has been bought in 2002 and has been played on a regular basis up to 2008. It is one of three Fender Roscoe Beck VI owned and by far the best. It has a very tight LowB. The condition of the bass is good (see the pictures). It has been adequately taken care off and only has the headstock marks and minor scratches that are usual for a bass of that age that has been played. https://www.dropbox....8uom/Kt8bRDbfx7 The condition is all original except for the routing of the output to the side and the add-on of an 18 Volt battery compartment at the back The electronics cavity has been shielded with copper foil. Presently the bass is set-up/wired vol/vol/passive tone (VTC) blend/treble boost/Bass boost by Sadowsky. The original switching mode of the PU's has remained unchanged. The preamp can be defeated. The modifications have been done by German master luthier Magnus Krempel. The bass is delivered in its original case, that shows wear and with the original pick-up guard, three way-switch, pots so, so that it can be reversed to the original Rosboe Beck mode/wiring with the added Sadowsky preamp. This would be from what I learned the way Roscoe Beck wanted the bass to be built but it seems that he was stopped by the Fender Marketing department for cost reasons. At your disposal for any additional info. Price is 1600€ / 1300£ + shipping feedback: Basschat: http://basschat.co.u...showtopic=64788 Talkbass: http://www.talkbass....der.php?u=63576 ebay: http://feedback.ebay...llFeedback" website: www.loes.lu facebook: https://www.facebook.com/gillento Edited January 2, 2013 by gillento
silverfoxnik Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Hi Gil, Lovely example and a very interesting modification on the original electronics! Don't see many in this colour either... Great basses IMHO and for anyone interested, I can vouch for the fact that Gil is a really good person to deal with. Good luck with the sale. Nik
