BigBeatNut
This is the one they call the 'transparent' overdrive, but quite how the word 'transparent' applies to something that's meant to dirty up your sound I don't know. I suppose at low gain you could use it as a clean boost. Maybe they're referring to EQ, it certainly sounds like a flat, even response (with bass and treble centred) that makes it very suitable for bass. Besides the expected gain and volume this also has bass and treble controls and internally there are DIP switches for selecting clipping (choice of red LED, blue LED or JFET) or +6db boost. The four DIPs can be used in any combination. This has never been gigged and is mint. I have the box and booklet (booklet is online too) but it's fairly self-explanatory anyway ... there's even a guide to the DIP switches stickered on the bottom. Why am I selling ? Wasn't sure if I wanted overdrive, so I bought this as a reasonably cheap experiment and this decided me that I liked it. Since then I've got a few more pedals and this is surplus to requirements. There's honestly no point in posting a pic of my pedal, it's no different to this: Amazon do this for £39-00 plus delivery (unless you wait for super-saver) . I'm offering for [s]£28-00[/s] [s]£25-00[/s] £22-00 including UK mainland postage. Edited October 21, 2012 by BigBeatNut
BigBeatNut
Bump. I realise this pedal doesn't often get a mention as a bass overdrive, but I'm not the only one to find it works fine for bass.
The transparent overdrive is a pretty sweet sounding pedal. And a bargain My Feedback: LINK
