It's the nicest Strat I've ever played, but, as I'm a bass player, it mainly sits on its guitar stand. This instrument needs to be played!! When I bought it (from a USA Army Sargeant in Alaska of all places), I had it sent to New York and I brought it back to the UK during one of my return journeys. The finish was originally Medium Palomino Metallic (that's "jobbie brown" to you and I). Also, there was a few dings in the finish, most noticeably on the forearm chamfer. I decided to refinish it it in nitrocellulose Surf Green. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the dings were only in the lacquer and hadn't impacted on the wood of the body. He's pretty happy with his instrument.
