For Sale: Ashdown Superfly programmable bass preamplifier, 2 x 250 Watts RMS power section in a compact bass amp head that weighs in at just 10 pounds.

The Head is in full working condition, with just a few scratches on the outer body. The Superfly comes with a soft fitted cover, rack mounts, users manual, power supply and speaker cable.

You can store 69 programmes comprising of inputlevel, 7-band graphic equalisation and compression settings, and switch them via any MIDI-compatible pedal to achieve an exceptional degree of live performance control on stage. In addition, a further 30 factory settings are available.

I have to ask (because I've also seen it on the Little Giant) what does it mean when it says 2x250?

It is strange! The amp is wired so that you get 250 watts from each speakon. In order to get the full 500 watts you need an 8 ohm cab plugged in each speakon. The Amp is still very powerful when you just use one cab. I have gigged a number of times in quite large venues and I have only pushed it to 3/4 on at most.
