fender73 Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 Saw Mr Sambora last night @ Shepherd Bush. Not a mega fan, but enjoyed the gig and 'enjoyed'the constant guitar changes he made all the time (LP Junior to LP, then LP to 335, then 335 to Strat, them Strat to Tele etc - didn't really sound much difference from where i was standing. Bass player Curt Schneider used the same bass for the whole gig - (Fender P-Bass through an Ampeg stack) and sounded cracking - masses of low end as you would expect and complimented the 2/3 guitarists and 1/2 keys players (one dude swapped between guitars/keys). Great sound from where i was standing and he seems to be over his dependancy blips. Quote
Barefootbassplayer Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 Saw Tremonti supporting Slash last thursday with Wolfgang Van Halen on bass....was very impressed with him actually as I had never heard him play before but I did laugh a lot as he seemed to be changing basses after most songs!! Chrismanbass Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 check out one of Richies guitarists a guy called David Ryan Harris awesome guy went to his gig at the elgin in ladbroke grove on monday night and ended up with him drinking in a pub in chiswick with us at 2 in the morning. Notable for playing for John Mayer but by far the best thing is his solo stuff i've never seen someone handle a room that way http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XWwKxxB0DZo&feature=related he takes someone like you and flips it around its pretty awesome http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JDvZe-44foA Quote
