tom1946 Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 (edited) Hi, this is my amazing time warp 1998 USA Jazz bass . . This is in a lovely deep metallic blue and is complemented by the dark red tortoise-shell scratchplate. It is reminiscent of an early Jazz in LPB which may be why the previous owner decided to fit the lower positioned thumb-rest and the chrome pick up cover. The chrome bridge cover is included (with screws) but not fitted. The neck is very straight and has (naturally for me) a low action. I have fitted new Roto's and it sounds very punchy indeed. The only mark I can see is on the curve where your knee would be if sat down, however it's so small I can't even photograph it. Comes with truss rod adjustment tool, a couple of tags, and the chrome covers. It is in an as new Hiscox hard case which is immeasureably better than the Fender effort imo. I am not looking for any trades apart from two, a G&L Tribute with a maple board to a value of no more than £325. Must be mint too. I want £650 for this as it's quite unusual, To include free delivery to UK mainland. Thanks for reading. Pics: Edited November 27, 2012 by tom1946

karlfer Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Sorry Tom, Antigua set off for her new home in Brighton yesterday. Folks, you will not find a better chap to deal with and this will be one helluva bass. Good luck Tom.
LemonCello Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 That is a lovely Jazz Tom, if only she had a RW board! As has already been said, Tom is a great bloke to deal with. LC
tom1946 Posted October 23, 2012 Author Posted October 23, 2012 Thanks LC. It's now £750 delivered. This is a one time only reduction and if it doesn't sell now then I'll part ex it. Don't miss out on a great example of a Jazz bass.
danhkr Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 I've got the same model but with rosewood fingerboard, I believe the colour was called aqua-marine metallic, and it's lurrrrvly. As you've just inspired me to stick a shell guard on mine, have a bump on me!
tom1946 Posted October 25, 2012 Author Posted October 25, 2012 Cheers danhkr, bump for a mighty fine bass.
hamfist Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 If I hadn't just satiated my GAS with a certain Status purchase, I'd be all over this. Lovely Jazz indeed !
tom1946 Posted October 26, 2012 Author Posted October 26, 2012 Thanks Ham, nice yammy you'e selling. Interested if my Jazz sells.
Sharkfinger Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Gosh, that is truly lovely. Are they stock pickups? The pole pieces seem quite dark or is that a trick of the light?
tom1946 Posted October 27, 2012 Author Posted October 27, 2012 Hi, yes completely stock, they do look a little dark. I'll have a look later, Just off out.
tom1946 Posted November 5, 2012 Author Posted November 5, 2012 This is just an outstanding bass, you won't be disappointed. I will listen to a sensible offer.
karlfer Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 Why on Earth is this still here? It looks fantastic with that blue and a maple board and Tom only does great 'uns. Bump.
