Just spent the last 15 minutes or so chatting with the fella selling this - he's about 20 miles away and I've said if it doesn't sell on eBay tomorrow I'll have it off him - cos I really need another amp(sic). BIN price of £95 seems an absolute bargain...

No serial Nos which suggests it came from the era when the factory closed when Gibson took over and a couple of the workers with keys were "relocating" parts and selling the finished equipment (based on what Paul Stevens told me at the London Bass Guitar show). I actually owned a combo with this same history - no probs whatsoever.

Fella's name is Ray..he isn't a BCer but suffers from GAS in the same way as most of us - 7 Fenders, a truck load of amps and cabs, various guitars - if it doesn't sell tonight I will be speaking to him tomorrow about taking it off his hands - I don't need another amp but I'll see how much of a bargain it will be...and he's not far up the road..

That looks more like a PA amp than a bass amp and would you have to have a split signal to go into each input or will it be OK from a mono input and then split internally to drive the two channels... worth checking.
