Spike Vincent
Well the Monotron appeals because of it's size and cost! I'll probably get one anyway seeing as they're so cheap and if it doesn't work I'll end up getting a Microkorg like I've wanted for years. Dont suppose you know of any other decent synths of a similar size? Truckstop
Gakken SX 150.
Beer of the Bass
It turns out Santa has brought me a Monotron Duo. It seems fun so far, and my 13 year old stepson has been having fun with it too. I've been annoying the household sitting on the sofa playing the riff from Cars and trying to do Sabbath's Who Are You. I think it'll be a fun noisemaker when combined with my tape echo... mcgraham
Awesome. Plug it into the aux input on your lounge hifi and crank the bass - you'll have more fun!
Spike Vincent
Plug it into an Ampeg SVT with an 8 x 10 and you'll have a LOT more fun.

littlethoughts
I have the duo and I enjoy it a lot. I find it hard to do anything particularly expressive though. Does anything use a stylus with theirs? I've seen a few vids of people using them and it might make a bit of a difference.
GarethFlatlands
You seen the mods people are doing with theirs? Some are pretty impressive.
Like most things, it just takes a bit of practice. Really tempted by the idea of using a photosensitive resistor to control cutoff frequency like in the video... very good idea.
