Chris Horton
Hi , Does anyone Know where I could get a copy of the following book "Bass Culture: The John Entwistle Bass Collection"
Big_Stu
I haven't seen the sales personally but I've been told that they sometimes hit £100+ on Ebay.

simon1964
Blimey, I hadn't realised they cost so much! They're going for £63 on amazon [edit EssentialTension got in ahead of me!] I've got a copy at home, but I guess I'll hold onto it if they're worth that sort of money! Big_Stu
I had mine on advance order from Amazon when it was first published; it's an excellent archive, though as with many Amazon purchases it arrived a bit bent around the edges. 12stringbassist
I won my copy in a Record Collector mag comp. Along with Rick Nielsen's book, it's a bible.

4 Strings
I got one, my bass playing lad has pinched it though, the paper jacket now not quite in the same condition! I'll not sell it so I suppose it's more important that he's enjoyed the book than how good the condition of the cover is. Maybe keep an eye out for 2nd hand one. paul torch
I'm sure mine wasn't more than £20. Didn't realise it had become so desirable.

99ster
I'm sure mine wasn't more than £20. Didn't realise it had become so desirable.
+1 Amazing how book prices rocket when they go out of print, which I can only presume is what has happened, here... I picked up a copy of 'The Complete Beatles Recording Sessions: The Official Story of the Abbey Road Years 1962-1970' a few years ago for £20-30 (essential book along with 'Recording The Beatles') & they now sell for £200 upwards as they're out of print & very hard to get hold of... I've got the first edition from 1988 & the re-print from 2006 is selling (new) for £553.61 on Amazon!! Prosebass
whats the book about? Pictures of his basses?
Thats about it basically, I had 2 copies at one point, should of kept them, 2 x books = 1 cheap bass.... The book is worth £20.00 as the photos are top notch, but not £50.00 buy a pedal instead....

Chris Horton
It is a crazy price for a book. I would love to get hold of a copy of the book but I just can't justify the high price
vmaxblues
Just put mine back on Amazon, totally mint, great book, but at that price, will get me some strings and stuff!

Rick's Fine '52
Why have they gone so pricey so suddenly?. The regular ones were £20 a year ago, and the leather bound versions were less than £40! Great book, but £60+ for a used version of the regular issue??
