RhysP Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 I don't like Fender style basses & I hate tort scratchplates but for some reason I absolutely LOVE that bass. It's stunning & classy.
Roland Rock Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 Great looking bass. Why is it called a Metro Jazz?
RhysP Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012
Why is it called a Metro Jazz?
The Metro name is used for Sadowskys Japanese made instruments.
Clarky Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 (edited) The 'Metro' line are Sadowsky's made in Japan brand. I think WH just let a typo slip, its an MV4-HPJ like on the Sadowsky page here http://www.sadowsky....ents/metro.html A real looker, to be sure Edit: beat to it by Rhys! peteb Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 (edited) Great bass, would tick a lot of boxes for me Unfortunately out of my reach unless I sell my Fender/Shuker jazz! Edited October 22, 2012 by peteb
warwickhunt Posted October 23, 2012 Author Posted October 23, 2012
Great bass, would tick a lot of boxes for me Unfortunately out of my reach unless I sell my Fender/Shuker jazz!
Doh! Had I spotted your gig at The Tyne I could have brought it along for you to have a blast!
warwickhunt Posted October 23, 2012 Author Posted October 23, 2012 I've been asked about the neck width/profile; nut width is 38mm and the profile is distinctly Jazz like. I'd say that there is little, if any, discernible difference between my Sadowsky Jazz and the PJ Hybrid.
peteb Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Probably for the best, would have made me want to spend money that I haven't really got (unless I sell the Fender of course)! BTW - nice little gig and great audience at the Tyne.....
RafBass Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 I wish someone would send me the money to buy this...it's burning a hole in my computer screen!!
dougal Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 As a once owner of this I can testify to the lovelyness of this!
warwickhunt Posted February 19, 2013 Author Posted February 19, 2013
Want!....trades?
The only trade (that I can think of) would be a 'vintage' Warwick Streamer.
warwickhunt Posted February 21, 2013 Author Posted February 21, 2013
I have a Streamer LX5
Not 'Vintage' enough for me but it really depends on what kind of deal you had in mind; I have to be straight and say that I'm 99% certain that I'd just end up selling it on BC straight away.
warwickhunt Posted February 24, 2013 Author Posted February 24, 2013 A pic of the 'ding', if you look at the rear edge near the compartment cover you should see it; what looks like a mark further up on the edge is just the wood colour/patina.
warwickhunt Posted February 27, 2013 Author Posted February 27, 2013 The picture of the rear of the bass gives a better idea of the colour and the finish being semi-transparent.
warwickhunt Posted March 8, 2013 Author Posted March 8, 2013 Just to be clear; trades are possible but I'd likely as not be just selling any trade straight on so the price would need to be reflected by the kind of price that your bass would sell for on Basschat.
