Noisy Ashdown Drive Plus

Hi,

I wonder if someone could help me. I have a six outlet PSU powering all pedals. There is a terrible hissing noise, which I've narrowed down to my Ashdown Drive Plus pedal.[list]
[*]Ashdown connected to PSU, all other pedals powered by battery - no noise
[*]All other pedals connected to PSU, Ashdown powered by battery - no noise
[*]Ashdown and any other pedal connected to PSU - very hissy.

This isn't just the usual hum you get when using pedals with a PSU - it's very loud. I've also tried the pedals in different orders, connecting to different outlets on the PSU, but the hissing remains - except in the scenarios described above. I've tried two basses (Fender Jazz and Ibanez ATK) and several cables - it makes no difference.

I can just run the Ashdown on batteries, but if anyone has any suggestions how I can resolve this, I'd appreciate it!.

I can't be too certain, but send ashdown an e-mail about it or pop a question on their facebook, they're usually very helpful people

I'll give that a go - though my cynical streak is expecting the 'use the supported PSU only' line....

I'm having the exact same problem with my Ashdown Chorus Plus. It's set up as last in the series of 4 pedals. I'll let you know how i get on.

Suppose it's good to know I'm not the only one! I've contacted Ashdown via their website - I'll post their response here.

Got a response from Ashdown - basically, they suggest a separate PSU for the Drive Plus pedal.
