Bill Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 (edited) Hi Guys... I cant believe i'm actually going to part with this bass, it was my first proper professional bass and has helped me so much, the reason i'm selling it is because i only use it for teaching! and since getting the 5 string Streamer 4 or so years ago that has become my main gigging/recording bass and the Thumb Bass isn't being gigged because of that, and i feel it needs to go someone who is going to play it a bit more! It was purchased from The Bass Gallery (Camden, London) in 2004 (it is a '04 model aswell) only has a few tiny hardly noticeable dings on the body (will take some close up shots tomorrow) the pickup's are the MEC stock pickup's, they sound great! i've used this on a few recording sessions and it produces a very smooth thick tone! has a very typical growly warwick attack, the body has aged really well, have waxed it every few months to keep it looking as best as possible! I've recorded a 4 and a half minute video demo of me playing her, very rough, just messing about with a few different tones (please take into consideration that the strings are 6 months old) . Edit price drop: Looking for (was £850) now £800 for it. Trade-wise.. would happily trade it for a MIA Fender Jazz Bass (Maple fretboard would be great!) Thanks. Bill. Edited October 24, 2012 by Bill
Ashwood1985 Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 (edited) Hi mate, Lovely bass, I have an '06 and can't get enough of it. A little pointer; watch your bumpage rate. The minimum time between the original post and any following bumps is 36 hours. Otherwise mods may delete the thread. All the best with the sale man, I wouldn't hesitate to reccomend this bass to anyone. While most basses have a freak out point where you can only dig in so much until they sound frazzled out, these just responds to anything you chuck at em! Edited October 23, 2012 by Ashwood1985

karlfer Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Fabulous bass. First saw one of these in the mid 90's in a band in Scotland, what a sound. They are almost getting to a price level I can afford. Good luck, great bass.
Bill Posted November 22, 2012 Author Posted November 22, 2012 Thanks karlfer, they are indeed great basses! :-) Bump!
