bassjamm Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 (edited) *** SOLD *** Hi all, I'm looking to sell my Wood & Tronics Zoid 5 String bass. Spec as follows:

Alder body with hollow chambers
Horse-Chestnut heel block (rare and special for tone) + Padouk veneer
Tanzanian Blackwood solid-across top with special arrangement*. one-off Zebrawood/Maple/Purpleheart interruption layers
Satinwood fingerboard
Three-piece Maple/Ash/Maple neck
Nordstrand Dual Coils
East/W&T custom circuit (includes Passive Tone Control)
More information and some points on the tonal characteristics of the woods used to make this bass can be found here. Things to mention are...

[s]The strap button on the top horn is a little loose, I've tightened it a few times but it's loosened off. It's never bothered me personally but I wanted to mention it.[/s] EDIT 21/11/2012: I had Jon Shuker fix this today, he also looked at the action and re-seated a few frets that were causing fret buzz when the action went super low...no longer has buzz
There is a minor blemish on the top single cut, about 1mm in length and hardly noticeable to me personally, it's not dinged, just a slight mark.
I'm asking SOLD for the bass which includes a pretty well used Sadowsky case. I'm predominantly after cash on this one but I'm willing to consider trades/part-ex's. Thanks for looking...any questions please get in touch. Pics below... bassjamm Posted October 23, 2012 Author Posted October 23, 2012 Thanks for that pal... Forgot to mention, it's currently strung E-C but I've not adjusted the setup as it was strung B-G earlier this year which it had been setup for.
mcgraham Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Dude, long time no speak. Hope things are well with you. Shame to see you moving this on, I love my W&T basses, stellar instruments.

robbobass Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 Thanks Jamie, but no thanks (re the Zoid) - It looks great, but I really need to slim down the collection, and not add more..........sorry pal.

bassjamm Posted November 21, 2012 Author Posted November 21, 2012 It's just spent the past hour with Jon Shuker having the strap button sorted and the action evened out. Playing beautifully!
Black Coffee Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 MMMMM lovely Christmas present potential. . . . . . Does it play as nice as it looks ?
bassjamm Posted November 22, 2012 Author Posted November 22, 2012
MMMMM lovely Christmas present potential. . . . . . Does it play as nice as it looks ?
I feel as though it does mate yeah. I feel really at home on it, and yesterday's visit to Jon Shuker has only made the bass feel nicer and smoother. The neck is wonderful in my opinion. However, it's all personal taste I guess. I'm quite open to different feels of bass though, I owned a Gibson Grabber last year which was a real brute to control, but I loved it...this by comparison is a breeze! Feel free to treat yourself pal, I don't mind...ha! Or sent your Streamliner my way in part-ex
largo Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 I probably missed this info but what's the scale length and weight of this beauty?
bassjamm Posted December 26, 2012 Author Posted December 26, 2012 Hi mate... It's got a 34" scale length. As for the weight, I've no idea, nor any way of finding out I'm afraid Thanks Jamie
