dougal Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 (edited) Up for sale is my Wish peanut 6-string fretless. Here's the web site: http://www.wishbass.com/ More pictures: http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/g1ngerrevolution/WishBass# I warn you: the neck is a touch on the chunky side and there is no truss rod on this bass (Wish doesn't believe in them). Only one pickup is wired (although both work). Chance for all you Wish skeptics to try one out. EDIT: Now on EBAY: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=220627264865 Edited June 28, 2010 by dougal 2008? sold by now, I reckon!

overwater#1 Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 (edited) Im still umming and ahhing about this to be honest.. As im pretty strapped for cash,, although could afford the figure you PMed me..its a great looker!!! I still don't know what to offer too. Its a great looker, but, what sort of money is it 'really' worth?? Edited May 18, 2008 by overwater#1
Mr. Foxen Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 If that was local I'd probably have to score it, even though theres no way I'd be able to play a fretless 6er. If you are passing Bristol I'd cheerfully swap for my Peavey 5er.
Jesus Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 How does this sound? And what would it take to get the other pickup working? I am very much a beginner, but for that price this could be worth having waiting for a day when i'm ready for it. Does it sound and play like your usual run of the mill 6 string electric bass, and also realisticly will the lack of a truss rod effect the neck on the future? Jesus (Deano)

dougal Posted July 13, 2008 Author Posted July 13, 2008 Yeah, the neck is chunky enough not to need a truss rod. I ripped out the electrics to fit a toggle switch instead of a second volume, decided I liked the second volume better, so reverted it. There's nothing wrong with the pickup: if you attach clips to hot & cold wires it makes all the right noises - I suspect the pot is buggered (a technical term) and needs replacing. I'll try & get some clips of it up in the next couple of days. It has a very earthy and organic sound. Make sure you've read these so you know what you're getting, and you'll be fine!
