Not at all IMO they are ugly and boring - two qualities I never want in any instrument.

I appreciate that. I used to hate them when I was younger and much preferred the strat design. Now, it is quite the opposite.

I think, with an exotic wood and the right choice of knobs and what have you, they can look sweet.

And I think Fenders are horrid, on the whole.
